Mull
Placed
Acrylic on canvas
Mull marks an early moment in the development of my chromatic approach to portraiture. The face is rendered through layered neon tones that function as structure, shaping form and shadow with deliberate intensity.
The piece demonstrates the intersection of controlled realism and vivid, artificial light that would become a throughline in later work. Mull stands as an articulation of color as identity and illumination as architecture, anchoring the early stages of my evolving visual language.
