Dew captures the first emergence of atmospheric tension in my portrait work, using saturated color and close-cropped framing to create a sense of heat and immediacy. Neon greens, reds, and blues move across the face in fluid, unrestrained layers, while small reflective highlights and droplets introduce a tactile quality that hints at moisture and temperature.

The eyes hold a glossy, immersive focus, softening the vivid palette and grounding the portrait in a quiet emotional presence. Hair becomes a cascade of color and movement, echoing the painting’s overall sense of density and humidity. Though stylistically early, Dew marks an important step toward the chromatic, immersive realism that defines my later work.
