Fading Nouns uses a split chromatic palette to explore emotional contrast and structural depth. Warm, saturated tones define the left side of the face, while cooler, shadowed hues anchor the right, creating a subtle tension that runs through the expression. The color begins to follow anatomical planes more closely, marking an early shift toward the chromatic realism found in my later work.

The eyes reflect this duality—one open and warm, the other shaded and distant—while the sculpted lips and soft gradients provide stability within the bold palette. As a bridge between my early neon experiments and more refined portrait language, this piece reveals the emergence of a deliberate, emotionally layered approach to color and form.
