This early portrait explores a graphic, heavily contoured approach to neon color, using bold outlines and clustered shapes to create a striking, almost posterized surface. Saturated reds, greens, yellows, and blues form expressive blocks of light rather than anatomical gradients, reflecting a period of experimentation with maximal color and strong visual boundaries.

The expression remains detached and stylized, emphasizing design over interiority, while the abstracted hair and high-contrast detailing heighten the portrait’s electric, psychedelic quality. Though stylistically distinct from my later work, this piece represents an important developmental stage—an exploration of intensity and structure that ultimately informed the refinement of my chromatic realism.
