Silence

Acrylic on canvas
Silence marks a turning point in the evolution of my chromatic approach. The gaze is direct and unyielding, establishing a psychological presence that would become central to my later work. Saturated reds, greens, yellows, and blues shape the structure of the face rather than simply overlaying it, creating a controlled temperature gradient that maps both form and tension.
The eyes hold dense reflections and layered detail, anchoring the portrait with a sense of interior depth, while the dark, reflective lips add contrast and weight to the lower half of the composition.
